STREAMING

WRFN, Radio Free Naptown, lives on in the form of audio streaming over the internet. Little would we have imagined that WRFN would be available without the use of the FCC regulated airwaves.

We still have the turntables, audio cart machines, and reel-to-reel tape recorders. The classic analog Gates Dualux broadcast console has been replaced with a Telos Alliance Axia iQ digital broadcast console which provides streaming in full stereo. In addition, we added servers containing the MP3 audio files and Ots Labs OtsAV DJ Pro digital media playlist management automation system. Another computer is dedicated to the artist/title generator and Spacial SAM Cast PRO stream encoder. The Radio Free Naptown streaming servers are located in both Carmel and San Diego.
